Please reach us at info@thefloralcanvas.com if you cannot find an answer to your question.
Due to the nature of our flower drying process, we can only take a limited number of customers at a time. Please make a reservation & booking for your flowers to ensure we have the time and space to create your framed flower piece. At the time of booking, you will need to choose the date closest to your event, pick a frame colour and decide on a floral arrangement style. You can also leave the style up to us! See the FAQ section below for more information.
Please deliver your flowers to the studio at our prearranged time after your event or arrange them to be shipped to our location within three days of your event. It is ESSENTIAL that your bouquet is kept in water after the ceremony until drop-off/shipping. We can not work with flowers that have browned or dried out already. The flowers must be kept in water, the water must be changed daily and the flowers kept out of direct sunlight in a cool place. The fresher the flowers, the better!
Once the flowers are received at the studio, we choose a selection and start the deconstruction and pressing process. This is a very lengthy and delicate process - we do colour correction for each flower if needed so that the petals hold their brilliance. Most flowers are too big to be pressed whole, so each petal is pressed separately before we put it back together in the design stage. The flowers are studied and placed methodically to avoid excess moisture which can damage the petals. We monitor the moisture levels through out the process to provide a superior quality product. To press-in-full it takes between four to eight weeks.
Once the flowers have been pressed we start the design process. Your flowers will be placed on the background you have chosen. Time is spent planning and visualizing your final piece before securing it in place. The whole process from delivery to final product takes four to six months. Once the canvas is complete we will email you to arrange return shipping.
Once your piece is complete we will email you to confirm and coordinate final pick-up/shipping.
Please know we will email you with any questions we have as the process evolves. If you have not heard from us please know your flowers are in good hands and the creative process is well on its way.

Due to the natural drying process of flowers, it is expected for flowers to change colour tone, which is unavoidable. We do colour correction for each flower if needed so that the petals hold their brilliance. There still will be some variation in colour between the fresh and final dried art piece. White flowers tend to go more ivory/yellow, the pink flowers have the tendency to change to a mauve shade and the peachy colour flowers become pinker. The flower will be beautiful, but no longer be the exact match to your bouquet once dried. When clients deliver the bouquets to us we select which florals to include in the final art piece - some are traditionally pressed and dried, others selected for a more modern preservation method in sand allowing for more dimension in the final product.
Because we deconstruct many of the stems, we are able to press a greater number of flowers. We get creative when it comes to finding a way to get those beauties flat and reconstructed to fit within the frame. With that being said, there are some we just can’t press but will try and take parts of the stem to use if possible. We will return your ribbon and bouquet trinkets. We do not return unpressed flowers, or vases.
From event to delivery of final product is 4-6 months.
We are happy to discuss customization. Please contact us at info@thefloralcanvas.com
